Lynx expand distribution of Stoll Front Loaders to Ireland

November 2011

The Stoll FZ Front LoaderAs a result of the sale of JF Fabriken A/S to the Kongskilde Group and the resulting closure of JF Farm Machines Ltd in Ireland, Lynx Engineering has been appointed the sole distributor for Stoll front loaders in Ireland. The distribution of the JF Grass Machinery and Diet Feeders will now be sold through the Kongskilde distribution in Ireland.

With over 16 years' experience selling the Stoll front loader range in the UK, Lynx were the ideal candidate to expand their business to cover Ireland.

Lynx Engineering will handle the products distribution, Service and Warranty support for both new and existing Stoll loader products and to ensure continuity for the Irish customers, area sales manager Nicky Murphy has been retained.

With Lynx Engineering now being a VIP supplier to CNH, Nicky will be managing the supply of Case and New Holland loader booms and DIA (Dealer Installed Accessory) Kits to CNH dealers. He will also be assisting with the sales of the Cleanfix reversible fan system through the tractor dealer network.

Nicky's new contact details can be found on the contacts page and he will be visiting all of his dealers over the coming months to introduce the full range of Lynx products and services that can be offered in Ireland.

New Streamline D Press

November 2011

The new D Press is put through its pacesThe new 2011/12 Streamline D front mounted press is currently undergoing its final stages of a rigorous testing program ready for launch before Christmas.

The completely redesigned steering headstock uses modern manufacturing systems to produce a more streamlined design whilst increasing its strength. On top of that the new design actually uses less raw material than the original, reducing the impact of steel price increases and reducing the environmental impact of the machines production.

The press still uses the market leading Simba DD Ring technology incorporating the same 700mm DD rings and Simba levelling board system to give unmatched levelling and consolidating performance across the widest varieties of soil types.

The press will still be available in working widths of 1.5m – 6.0m but the overall frame width has been reduced for safer road transportation and easier access to narrow gateways.

The new 'twisted' rigid tine frames allow the tines greater ground clearance when obstacles are encountered and now incorporate the side deflectors to minimise any soil spillage outside the DD rings.

So far demonstrations of the prototype model have yielded positive results with the press performing well whilst also giving better visibility and being easier to manage than its predecessor.

3000 Sows and Growing

February 2011

Manor Farm in Brettenham, Norfolk is the home to the Wright families' farming business incorporating 3,500 acres of cereals, sugar beet and grass for seed production, as well as 3 x 1,000 sow breeder units which is being expanded to a 4th. The mixed farming enterprise fully utilises its cereal production, stock and husbandry knowledge to maximise benefits from the various soil types found throughout the estate, whilst utilising organic fertilizer from its free-range pig units to improve the ground. Sugar beet does particularly well following on from pigs.

Workshop Manager, Denis Jenkins, utilises 16 New Holland tractors in the pig unit, 15 of which are fitted with Stoll front loaders. 4 new Lynx Stoll FZ30 loaders are also on order with New Holland T6010's tractors to be delivered when the 4th new 1,000-sow breeder unit is operational in 2011.

"We have had excellent reliability from our Lynx loaders which are used daily. The solid construction and robust engineering is endorsed by our record of never having to replace a bush or refurbish a ram, with our oldest loader being 9 years old!"

The loaders are virtually left on the tractors all the time as they are in constant use. All of the drivers appreciate the stability of the tractor/loader unit with its ease of operation and positive control system. Removal and refitting the loader is also easy when required.

Wrights only use two attachments for each of the fleet of tractors, one being a bale spike, which is used to lift 2 whole or 3 x "½ Heston" bales at a time with ease. The second attachment being a triple loader bucket which is used for picking up the sow rolls that are delivered in bulk and loaded into the feeding trailers when required.

Shed unwanted weight in seconds!

January 2011

Weights systemThe new LYNX linkage mounted Drive-in weight systems allow users to easily and quickly adjust front tractor weight to suit the load being carried on the rear of the tractor.

Shedding or adding tractor weight in this way improves traction whilst saving fuel when weight is not required.

Weights system fittingLYNX's new design weights are manufactured from a smooth mineral composite, less bulky than concrete and less costly than a comparable steel weight. The main 800 or 1000kg base weight incorporates CATII linkage points as standard and incorporates a female tapered slot on it's underside for add-on weights. Lowering the weight to the ground and undoing a manual security lock and then reversing out easily sheds these additional 400 or 600kg weights. The quick fit, self-aligning male tapered add-on weight can easily be re-connected when additional tractor ballast is required.

The midsize wheel loader Caterpillar 950K has been added to Flexxaire's growing list of reversible fan applications.

The timer-controlled Flexxaire TAC2000H hydraulically actuated fan is now available for the Caterpillar 950K.

Flexxaire fans automatically reverse the cooling airflow to purge debris from radiators and other heat exchangers, resulting in reduced engine overheating, operating downtime and repair and maintenance costs. Moreover, Flexxaire fans monitor the coolant's temperature and reduce the airflow if not necessary. This can lead to lower fuel consumption and noise levels as well as an increase in the machine's efficiency.
