With up to 75% less ground pressure compared with machinery using standard pneumatic tyres, tracks protect the integrity of your soil and greatly reduce compaction. The track’s contact surface on the ground is much greater than that of a normal pneumatic tyre. Tracks have up to four times as many grooves active on the ground. Plus they are self-cleaning and do not clog up. All of which means you can substantially increase the traction of your harvester or tractor, increasing its towing or loadbearing capacity.
You can change the standard wheels on a tractor or machine for track units and vice-versa in no time at all. No major modifications to the machine are required. For total flexibility, the machine can quickly be put back into use with the standard wheels and tyres, maintaining the original utility value of the tractor.
Zuidberg tracks feature a ‘positive’ drive system. The insides of the track systems are fitted with drive cams, which slot into the recesses in the drive wheel. The cams are used both for driving and steering. This reverse chain drive prevents the drive wheel from slipping. As less force is required to tension the tracks, tensioning systems and the frame can be relatively light. Finally, the rubber drive cams provide a low-noise solution.
