Tomas Meehan has been appointed by Lynx Engineering as the company’s new Area Sales Manager for Ireland. He takes over the role vacated by Nicky Murphy who recently announced his retirement.
Based in Tipperary, Tomas will be responsible for sales of Stoll front loaders and accessories, Zuidberg front linkages and PTOs, Zuidberg track systems, Flexxaire reversing fans, the Lynx weight systems range and Lynx Streamline front presses in a territory that covers the whole of the island.
A huge fan of hurling and Gaelic football, Tomas joins Lynx from his previous sales position at Murphy Machinery in Kilkenny, importer and distributor of a wide range of agricultural machinery. Before then, he was at Genfitt, County Mayo, wholesale distributor of farm machinery parts and components to the trade, where he held a sales role for three years.
Commenting on his appointment, Tomas said: “It’s a great honour to join the Lynx Engineering team. Lynx represents some of the most prestigious brands in the agricultural machinery sector. When the situation with COVID allows, I look forward to meeting and working closely with our dealers to develop these brands and to build on the excellent reputation enjoyed by Lynx on the island of Ireland.”
Nick Ewbank, Lynx Engineering managing director, added: “We are delighted to welcome Tomas into the Lynx Engineering fold. His knowledge of the agricultural machinery scene in Ireland is first-class and this, together with his drive and enthusiasm will, I am sure, prove to be a great asset to the company as we strive to further strengthen dealer relationships and grow our business in the Irish market.”
