With the upcoming launch of the next generation of Stoll front loaders being trailed heavily across social media and the recent announcement from Stoll of a change in ownership of the German company, there are exciting times ahead say Lynx Engineering, the importer and distributor of Stoll front loaders for the UK and Ireland.
“The takeover of Stoll Group, the world’s second largest manufacturer of front loaders, by Czech manufacturer Agrostroj Pelhrimov can only benefit the Stoll brand and establishes an even stronger platform for sustained growth well into the future,” said Nick Ewbank, managing director of Lynx Engineering (pictured below).
“First things first, dealers and customers can rest assured that it’s pretty much business as usual. No major changes are planned, so Stoll customers throughout the UK and the island of Ireland can continue to rely on the highest Stoll product quality backed, of course, by the specialist technical advice and outstanding parts support and service provided by the team here at Lynx Engineering through our extensive dealer network.
“We’re looking forward to revealing the stronger, smarter, higher, faster generation of Profiline front loaders as soon as the wraps come off and they become available in the UK and Ireland. They will represent the future of loading and that future is in very safe hands following the acquisition by Agrostroj,” he added.
Best known in farming circles for its drum mowers, the Agrostroj Group also manufactures components and machines for the likes of DAF, Scania and Volvo as well as Fendt, John Deere, Krone, Kuhn and Kverneland. “There is great synergy between the two companies,” said Nick Ewbank. “I can see tremendous potential for future collaboration on product development and the sharing of technology and innovation to the mutual benefit and growth of Stoll and Agrostroj.”
The Agrostroj purchase includes Stoll’s two production plants in Germany and Poland and one in the USA. Stoll has an annual turnover of approximately 120 million euros and currently employs around 600 people with sales and distribution channelled through a global 5,000-strong dealer network. This year, excluding Stoll, Agrostroj employs 2,700 people and is aiming for a turnover of around 250 million euros, giving combined projected sales totalling 370 million euros.
