Despite persistent, torrential rain and a bitterly cold wind the day before threatening to scupper our Demo Day showcasing the new Stoll ProfiLine ISOBUS Connected front loader, thankfully the weather relented overnight to enable the event to go ahead as planned.
With only sticky conditions underfoot and the occasional shower to contend with on one of the two demo sites, the other being undercover on a neighbouring farm, we welcomed our invited guests from the media who were eager to get up close and personal with the new loader launched earlier this year at LAMMA.
We had two Stoll ISOBUS Connected front loader models on test. A ProfiLine FZ 43-27 mounted on a Case Puma 165 was largely tasked with field-based bucket work and bale handling, whilst a ProfiLine FZ 46-29, paired with a JCB Fastrac 4220 equipped with a bucket attachment and subsequently pallet forks, operated in and around a grain store.
Getting hands-on
Following a brief introduction by our managing director, Nick Ewbank, our guests were able to join Lynx loader specialists, Roy Milburn and Sam Ewbank, in the cab of both tractors where they were introduced to the twelve additional functions available through the Stoll ISOBUS Connected system, before being invited to move over into the driving seat to try their hand at the controls.
The day went extremely well and the journalists seemed suitably impressed with what the new front loader is capable of. They particularly appreciated the loader’s smoothness of operation and the time-saving and productivity gains achievable from the ability to program, store and call-up implement angles, frequently used lift-arm and implement movement sequences, bale clamping pressures, and more, all at the touch of a button.
Thanks go to our friends at H Collins Farms Ltd., who kindly gave permission for us to use their Hall Farm and neighbouring Hill Farm sites, both in Kislingbury, Northamptonshire, for the event.
