Wheel weights offer a particularly effective way to shift total weight directly to the rear axle – without compromising manoeuvrability or driving behaviour. Unlike front or rear weights, wheel weights act directly on the rim. This reduces the leverage effect and improves stability under heavy loads, especially during front loader operations, transporting heavy trailer loads, working on sloped or uneven terrain and, in combination with front weights, when cultivating, seeding or harvesting with heavy implements. Made from solid cast iron, high-quality Tenwinkel wheel weights are durable, dimensionally stable, maintenance-free and ensure even load distribution across both rear wheels.
Individual 300kg wheel weights can be mounted individually or in pairs. Often one weight per wheel is sufficient to give you the ballast you need, but where extra weight is necessary, two wheel weights per rim will give 1200kg of perfectly distributed weight across the rear axle.
The system is designed to ensure a precise fit and easy, secure mounting on the wheel rim. Tenwinkel wheel weights come with a variable adapter plate that is compatible with nearly all standard tractor rims and bolt patterns – including those from Fendt, John Deere, Deutz, CLAAS, and numerous other brands. The rim adapter is bolted to the rim using 6 sliding elements, each consisting of an adapter slider and a clamping rail. The sliding elements can be flexibly adapted to the position of the 6 through-holes in the rim in 4 possible orientations.
The position of a sliding element can be preset before mounting on the tractor using an M16x35 clamping screw and an M16 thread in the adapter slider.
The bolts for fastening to the tractor (class 10.9) and possible spacers (tube-wall thickness min. 8mm) must be selected depending on the rim and are therefore not included in the standard delivery pack.
Because wheel weights act directly at the rim, the strain placed on the front axle, front hydraulics and tyres is significantly reduced. The low-mounted mass on the rear axle boosts traction, minimises tyre slippage, and reduces wear – while also saving fuel.
Manufactured in robust cast iron with a protective, corrosion-resistant coating, Tenwinkel wheel weights are made to last with little or no maintenance required throughout their long service life.
