The glorious weather was the icing on the CEREALS cake this year which was held, for the first time ever, at the Thoresby Estate in Nottinghamshire. Once visitors heading for the show from the north via the A1M had negotiated their way (albeit very, very slowly) through the queues along the A614, the new ‘picture postcard’ site certainly didn’t disappoint. The layout was well planned and the facilities were excellent.
For all of us here at Lynx, the show was both enjoyable and successful with lots of interest shown and enquiries taken on our stand next to the Sprayers arena.
As expected, our John Deere 6800 restoration pulled in the crowds and won plenty of plaudits from farmers, dealers and classic tractor enthusiasts alike. But it wasn’t the only attraction on the Lynx stand.
Having recently been appointed by Düvelsdorf as the sole importer and distributor of their range of grassland maintenance, seeding and silage equipment for the UK, we took this early opportunity to showcase a selection of some of the German manufacturer’s best-selling lines. Visitors were keen to learn more about the products and how they fit into grassland management, direct drilling and cover cropping regimes.
On display on our stand was the Düvelsdorf GREEN.Rake expert, the TERRA.ROLLER expert, the SEED.CON system and a 6-metre, 4-row Grassland Harrow. Also on view was the Düvelsdorf 1.8m wide Transport Box HD with 1,110L of storage space, adjustable divider partitions and a 1,000kg load capacity.
As always our displays of Dromone pick-up hitches and coupling systems, Zuidberg front linkages and PTOs, Stoll front loaders, Pateer front-mounted weights and Streamline front press were busy across both days.
With CEREALS done and dusted for another year, next stop The Royal Highland Show. We hope to see you there!
