New tractor sales bounce back

Following a disappointing dip in October, UK registrations of new tractors (+50hp) recovered a little bit of lost ground in November. According to the latest figures released by the AEA, new tractor sales totalled 638 units compared with 522 units in the same month last year, representing a year-on-year increase of just over 22%.

However, the sales recorded in November were down on the previous month by 33 units, while the year-to-date (January to November inclusive) figures are still around 20% below the numbers recorded for the same eleven-month period in 2019. The overall trend for this year therefore remains on a stubbornly downward trajectory – and with just one month’s statistics to come in, it’s safe to say that the new tractor market for the UK is set to contract significantly compared with 2019.

If you are one of the many farmers delaying or even shelving the decision to invest in a new tractor, why not look at ways of extending the capabilities of your existing machine? Lynx offers a wide variety of products designed to take the efficiency and productivity of your tractor up to a whole new level. Our range includes Stoll front loaders, Zuidberg front linkages and PTOs, Zuidberg tracks, Dromone pick-up hitches, Flexxaire reversing cooling fans, Streamline front presses and a large selection of weight units.
