A perfect storm of ever-rising prices and longer manufacturing lead times is substantially reducing the number of new tractors being registered and subsequently the number of trade-ins coming on to the market. This, in turn, is driving big increases in demand in the second-hand sector. High specification tractors with low hours on the clock are particularly sought after and, as a result, their prices are climbing too.
One of the consequences of the current situation is that many farmers are opting to hang on to their tractors for longer. They are also looking at ways to invest in their existing kit in order to achieve greater versatility and productivity from what they already have. This also has the benefit of increasing the value of the asset, providing a return on investment when the time is right to sell or trade-in the tractor for a new model.
If this sounds like the best way forward for you, Lynx offers a wide range of implements and accessories, available through our nationwide dealer network, that can help you to extract the best possible productivity from your machines.
More ways to add more productivity
Amongst other things, our product range includes Stoll front loaders, Zuidberg front linkages and PTOs, Dromone pick-up hitches and coupling systems, a wide range of front-mounted steel, concrete and composite weight packages, and Flexxaire reversing cooling fans suitable for larger tractors, combines, telehandlers, self-propelled sprayers, potato harvesters and beet harvesters as well as heavy plant used in the construction, quarrying and recycling industries.
If you’re in the market for a second-hand front loader, there’s an excellent article published by the PROFI magazine that provides an overview of the key specifications and capacities of Stoll ProfiLine FZ and FS pre-owned loaders, whether originally retrofitted to any make or model of tractor, or supplied as a factory-fit with New Holland, Case IH or Deutz-Fahr tractor ranges. The article also provides approximate price guides for the loader element of typical second-hand loader tractor packages as well as price estimates for wearing parts and various other selected spares, accessories and options. However, please treat any prices indicated as a rough guide only, as some prices may well have increased since the article was originally published.
